Title:Operation Fine Girl : Rape Used as a Weapon of War in Sierra Leone. [Krio version]
Abstract:This is the Krio language version of OPERATION FINE GIRL : RAPE USED AS A WEAPON OF WAR IN SIERRA LEONE. This video was titled, produced and directed for WITNESS and Oxygen by Academy Award nominee Lilibet Foster with WITNESS partner, Binta Mansaray. It documents the brutal use of rape as a weapon of war in Sierra Leone. The story is told through the eyes the survivors - women and girls, as well as the child soldiers and perpetrators. It will support the efforts of our partners in Sierra Leone to increase the funding to provide psycho-social support and health care to the estimated 500,000 survivors of rape in the country.
