Table of contents

  •  Standing on a road surrounded by fields, a UNAMSIL Pakistani Battalion soldier named Khalid explains to the camera that they are in the Congo Bridge area, a main mining site. He points out the machinery of the national mining company, and the mining pits on both sides of the road.
  •  Another man points out many mining sites to the camera. He says that they were mined indiscriminately, even to the point that the bridge almost collapsed. He says that surrounding land could have been used for agriculture, but has eroded too much as a result of the mining. He says that the mining has now stopped, but may take place farther from the township. He explains how the profits from diamond mining will be distributed differently so that it will benefit the development of the area. He says that the people who did the mining previously were just laborers, and that they did not profit from their own work.
  •  Shots from a moving vehicle of a rural landscape, then a market area. The car stops and the camera person gets out of the car.
  •  Various shots of a man sewing with a sewing machine. Various shots of a young man fixing bicycles in a bicycle shop. Various shots of young men selling socks. Various shots vendors and people walking down road.
  •  Back in the car, shots of market stalls and people. More shots of Koidu, including zoom into Income Tax Department sign at 10 Suku Tamba Street.
