Footage date-stamped 3 May 1997 shows the performers in costume standing among children on the street while marimba music is being played. A procession
begins, led by the masked performers followed by people holding flowers, and people carrying an icon with small angel figurines and a cross. There is a religious ceremony held inside a small
house. Back outside, the masked performers dance on the street for onlookers.
This video is one of Osorio's attempts to preserve the culture of Rabinal that was almost eradicated during the massacres of indigenous people by the military, most tragically in the
